New York, NY - Independent DVD distributor Arts Alliance America, formerly known as Hart Sharp Video is changing ownership. The company, owned by European digital cinema provider Arts Alliance Media, has sold its shares to President Joe Amodei. Arts Alliance America will change its name to Virgil Films and Entertainment. The announcement was made today by Amodei, President of Virgil Films and Entertainment

Mr. Amodei states "Being able to take the Company I have been running for the past 5 years and calling it my own is a dream come true. The team at Arts Alliance Media have put me in a great position to steer this company into the future. I will forever be thankful to them for that."

Joe Amodei founded Hart Sharp Video in 2003 to develop, acquire, market and distribute DVD product in the theatrical feature film, documentaries, special interest and sports categories. Arts Alliance Media announced the acquisition of Hart Sharp Video in May 2007. Arts Alliance Media is Europe's leading provider of digital cinema technology, deployment and content.

Prior to 2007, and since the Company's inception, Joe Amodei has built partnerships for the Company that have become successful entities for both parties. These include ESPN, MLB Productions, Bombo Sports and Entertainment, Morgan Spurlock's Warrior Poets, Red Envelope and NESN, including other high profile entertainment brands.

Upcoming releases from Virgil Films and Entertainment include "The Caller" starring Academy Award nominee Frank Langella, the second season of the legendary "The Donna Reed Show," the cult-classic children's series "The Mysterious Cities of Gold," and the rollerblading doc, "Jam."

Joe Amodei began his career in the home entertainment industry two decades ago. He was honoured by the Video Industry Aids Action Committee and awarded the "2005 Visionary Award" for his efforts and contributions.
