UNRAVELING THE SHOCKINGLY TRUE STORY BEHIND ONE OF THE BIGGEST UNEXPLAINED PHENOMENA... EYES OF THE MOTHMAN

DVD Debuts February 22nd

Two-disc Collector's Edition Packed with Bonus Features

New York City (January 26, 2010) - The chilling 1966 paranormal phenomenon that terrorized a small town of 5000 residents in West Virginia is getting its first feature-length documentary release this February. Eyes of the Mothman surrounds the mystery behind the seven foot tall creature with large wings and red oval shaped eyes, which inspired several novels as well as the 2002 film, The Mothman Prophecies starring Richard Gere. While examining the facts, theories, and its history, the film captures the horror inflicted upon a small community by a bird-like man who haunted residents at night, glided after cars, bellowed uncanny shrills, and feasted on animals. After its successful premiere at the 2010 Mothman Festival, Eyes of the Mothman is making its nationwide debut with its DVD release by Virgil Films & Entertainment.

For exactly 15 months, Point Pleasant, WV became a focal point of unexplained activities, beginning with several horrific encounters of a "moth man" followed by multiple UFO sightings, alien abductions, visits by men in black, and a final tragic ending with the collapse of the Silver Bridge, killing 46 people.

Virgil Films & Entertainment is excited to present the incredible truth behind one of the biggest unexplained mysteries with the 2-disc DVD release of Eyes of the Mothman, beginning February 22, 2011. The set is packed with special bonus features including: Bonus interviews, a behind-the-scenes Featurette, Psychic Walk Through and more.

Recalling the fear from 44 years ago, the film travels throughout Point Pleasant, and visits the exact location where the beast was seen and heard. Conversations are featured with several eyewitnesses, residents, paranormal investigators, newspaper editors, professors, historians and authors of "Return to Point Pleasant" and "Mothman, Behind the Red Eyes."

Viewers get an inside look at the elements linked to the legend, including a 200 year old haunting Indian curse, TNT explosives and war ammunition plants developed by the government during WWII, in addition to the toxic McClintic Wildlife Management Area. Audiences can experience the true story behind the unforgettable nightmare that will continue to haunt for years to come.
