- Why is Virgil Films & Entertainment allowed to issue Public Performance Licenses?
We hold the rights to the films that are available to screen and can provide a Public Performance License for legal public performance of our movies. These license fees compensate the people who make the films. - return to top

- What if I bought the movie, do I still need a license to show it?
Yes, you still need a license to show a movie regardless of whether you buy or rent a DVD. - return to top

Yes, you need to obtain a license if the movie is being shown outside the home. - return to top
- Can I screen a movie if my video store says it's OK?
A video store rents and sells movies for you to watch at home. They cannot give you legal permission to screen a movie outside your home. That permission can only come from us. - return to top
- How do I arrange a screening?
It's super easy! Simply fill out the information and email it to cathy@virgilfilmsent.com . She will give you verbal confirmation of your screening and assist from start to finish. - return to top
- How many times can I screen the movie?
The license entitles you to one (1) screening. Prices may vary according to title, and if multiple screenings are requested. - return to top
- Do I return the movie after my screening?
There is no need to return the DVD after your screening. We DO appreciate your integrity by not screening the film more than the agreed upon date of the public exhibition of the film. - return to top
- Can I use my screening as a fundraiser?
Yes, you can definitely use a screening to raise money for your organization and we encourage you to sell DVD's as an additional fundraising resource. - return to top
- How do I make billing arrangements?
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. Checks can be mailed to Virgil Films & Entertainment, 407 Broome Street, 7A, New York, NY 10013 Attn: Cathy Forman. Credit cards are also accepted. - return to top
